  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
Topping Ingredients
  • 1 cup caramel sauce
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually blend the dry ingredients into the wet mixture.
  5. Roll the dough into balls and place on a baking sheet.
Baking
  1. Bake for 10-12 minutes until lightly golden.
  2. Once cooled, top each cookie with a drizzle of caramel sauce and a sprinkle of chocolate chips.
  3. Let the chocolate set before serving.

Notes

Serve these cookies warm with a glass of milk. Store in an airtight container at room temperature. They can be reheated in the microwave for a few seconds.
