  • 12 peppers Fresh habanero peppers Adjust quantity based on desired spiciness
  • 2 cups Vinegar (white or apple cider) Choose vinegar type based on flavor preference
  • 1 cup Water
  • 1 cup Sugar Adjust for desired sweetness
  • 1 tablespoon Salt
Spices
  • 2 cloves Garlic (minced) Add more if you prefer a stronger garlic flavor
  • 1 teaspoon Coriander seeds
  • 1 teaspoon Black peppercorns

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Wash the habanero peppers and slice them if desired.
  2. In a pot, combine vinegar, water, sugar, and salt. Bring to a boil.
  3. Add spices to the brine and remove from heat.
  4. Pack the peppers into sterilized jars and pour the hot brine over them until fully covered.
  5. Seal the jars and let them cool to room temperature before refrigerating or processing in a water bath for long-term storage.

Notes

Store the pickled peppers in the refrigerator for up to three months. For longer storage, process jars in a water bath. Use gloves when handling habaneros to prevent irritation.
