Ingredients
  

Danish Base
  • 1 package puff pastry sheets Use thawed sheets
  • 1 egg egg (for egg wash) Mix with milk for wash
  • 1 tbsp milk (for egg wash)
Cream Cheese Filling
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened Ensure it's softened for easy mixing
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
Toppings
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, sliced Best with fresh strawberries

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Roll out the puff pastry sheets and cut them into squares.
  3. In a bowl, mix the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  4. Place a spoonful of the cream cheese mixture in the center of each pastry square.
  5. Top with sliced strawberries.
  6. Fold the corners of the pastry squares towards the center to create a danish shape.
  7. Mix the egg and milk to make an egg wash and brush it over the danishes.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
  9. Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge. To reheat, place in a warm oven for a few minutes.
