  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
Wet Ingredients
  • 1 cup milk Use room-temperature milk for easier mixing.
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
Fillings
  • 1 cup cooked sausage, crumbled Cook and drain well to avoid greasy dough.
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice)
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, combine the milk and melted butter.
  4. Gradually add the wet mixture to the dry ingredients and stir until combined.
  5. Fold in the sausage, cheese, and green onions.
  6. Roll out the dough on a floured surface, then cut into rolls or shapes.
  7. Place the rolls on a greased baking sheet.
Baking
  1. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
  2. Serve warm and enjoy your savory breakfast rolls!

Notes

Cool the rolls completely. Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. To freeze, wrap individual rolls and place in a freezer bag for up to 2 months. Reheat in a warm oven or microwave until hot. Don’t overwork the dough; handle gently for soft rolls.
