Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 2 slices Texas Toast
  • 2 tablespoons cream cheese
  • 1 jalapeno, diced
  • 2 slices crisp bacon, cooked
  • 1/2 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
  • Butter for grilling

Method

Preparation
  1. In a bowl, mix cream cheese with diced jalapeno.
  2. Spread the mixture on one side of each slice of Texas Toast.
  3. Layer cooked bacon and shredded cheddar cheese on top of the cream cheese mixture.
  4. Close the sandwich with the other slice of Texas Toast (cream cheese side in).
  5. Butter the outside of the sandwich.
Cooking
  1. Heat a skillet over medium heat and grill the sandwich for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and the cheese is melted.
Serving
  1. Serve hot with a simple side salad, crispy fries, or a warm bowl of tomato soup.

Notes

Try adding avocado slices for extra creaminess. Use different cheeses like pepper jack for a spicier kick. Grill the sandwich in the oven for an even crispier texture.
