Preparation
- In a bowl, mix cream cheese with diced jalapeno.
- Spread the mixture on one side of each slice of Texas Toast.
- Layer cooked bacon and shredded cheddar cheese on top of the cream cheese mixture.
- Close the sandwich with the other slice of Texas Toast (cream cheese side in).
- Butter the outside of the sandwich.
Cooking
- Heat a skillet over medium heat and grill the sandwich for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and the cheese is melted.
Serving
- Serve hot with a simple side salad, crispy fries, or a warm bowl of tomato soup.
Notes
Try adding avocado slices for extra creaminess. Use different cheeses like pepper jack for a spicier kick. Grill the sandwich in the oven for an even crispier texture.
