Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 24 slices pepperoni
  • 4 sticks mozzarella string cheese (cut in half lengthwise)
  • 2 tablespoons pizza sauce optional, for rolling
  • 1 tablespoon butter (melted)
Seasonings
  • ½ teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
  • Grated Parmesan cheese optional, for topping
Dipping Sauce
  • Extra pizza or marinara sauce for dipping

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Separate the crescent roll dough into 8 triangles along the perforated lines.
  3. Optional: Spread a small amount (about ½ tsp) of pizza sauce over each triangle.
  4. Layer 3 slices of pepperoni on the wide end of each triangle.
  5. Place one half of a string cheese stick on top of the pepperoni.
  6. Roll up the crescent dough from the wide end toward the point, encasing the filling.
  7. Place seam-side down on the baking sheet and brush the tops with melted butter.
  8. Sprinkle with Italian seasoning, garlic powder, and grated Parmesan if using.
Baking
  1. Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until golden brown and the cheese is bubbly.
Serving
  1. Serve warm with pizza or marinara sauce on the side for dipping.

Notes

For more flavor, try adding diced bell peppers or olives, and consider using different cheeses like cheddar or provolone. For a lighter version, fill with vegetables. They can also be frozen before baking for up to 2 months.
