Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
- In a bowl, whisk together corn syrup, melted butter, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla until smooth.
Assembly
- Sprinkle the dry cake mix evenly into the baking dish. Top with chopped pecans.
- Slowly pour the wet mixture over the cake mix and pecans. Do not stir—this is a dump cake!
Baking
- Place in the oven and bake for 35–40 minutes, or until the top is golden and the center is set.
Serving
- Let it cool for 10 minutes before slicing. Serve warm with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.
Notes
Add chocolate chips for a chocolate-pecan twist, or spice it up with a pinch of nutmeg or allspice. For a gluten-free option, use a gluten-free cake mix.
