Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
- In a large bowl, mix the mashed bananas and peanut butter together until well combined.
- Stir in the sugars, yogurt (or applesauce), and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth.
- Add the baking soda and salt, and stir to combine.
- Gradually fold in the flour until just combined, then gently fold in the chocolate chips.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
- Bake for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Allow to cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
To store, wrap the bread in plastic wrap or store it in an airtight container at room temperature for 3-4 days. For longer storage, freeze it for up to three months, slicing beforehand for easy thawing.
