  • 1 box yellow cake mix You can experiment with different cake mixes like chocolate or lemon.
  • 1 cup butter, melted Make sure to grease the baking dish well to prevent sticking.
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans or walnuts Optional, but adds a nice crunch.
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon Optional, for added flavor.

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Pour the sliced peaches with their syrup into a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
  3. Sprinkle the dry cake mix evenly over the peaches.
  4. Drizzle the melted butter over the cake mix, ensuring it covers as much as possible.
  5. If using, sprinkle chopped nuts and cinnamon on top.
Baking
  1. Bake for 35-45 minutes or until the top is golden brown and the cake mixture is cooked through.
Serving
  1. Serve warm, optionally with ice cream or whipped cream.

Notes

To store leftovers, keep peach dump cake in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to four days. Reheat in the microwave or warm in the oven before serving. You can prepare it a day ahead, but it’s best served fresh from the oven.
