  • 1 can canned peaches in syrup Drain before use.
  • 1 box yellow cake mix Use a standard box size.
  • 1/2 cup melted butter Pour slowly over cake mix.
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon Optional, for added flavor.
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts Optional, can substitute pecans.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Drain the canned peaches and spread them evenly in the bottom of a baking dish.
  3. Sprinkle the cake mix over the peaches evenly.
  4. Drizzle the melted butter over the cake mix.
  5. Sprinkle cinnamon and nuts on top if using.
Baking
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes or until the top is golden brown.
  2. Let it cool for a few minutes before serving warm.

Notes

Drain the peaches well to avoid sogginess. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream. Store in the fridge for up to 4 days, or freeze portions for up to 2 months.
