Ingredients

3 Ingredient Bread
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour (plus extra for dusting)
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1.5 cups plain yogurt (Greek or regular, unsweetened)
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt optional but recommended
3 Ingredient Flatbread
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour (plus extra for rolling)
  • 0.75 cups plain yogurt
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
3 Ingredient Irish Soda Bread
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1.5 cups buttermilk (or milk + 1 tablespoon vinegar)
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Method

No Yeast 3 Ingredient Bread
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt (if using).
  3. Pour the yogurt into the dry ingredients and stir with a wooden spoon or spatula until a shaggy dough forms. If the dough is too sticky, add 1-2 tablespoons more flour.
  4. Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead gently for about 1 minute, just until it comes together. Avoid overworking the dough.
  5. Form the dough into a round or oval loaf and place it on the prepared baking sheet. Use a sharp knife to score the top (about ½-inch deep).
  6. Bake for 35–40 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and sounds hollow when tapped.
  7. Let the bread cool on a wire rack for at least 10 minutes before slicing.
3 Ingredient Flatbread
  1. In a bowl, combine the flour and salt. Add the yogurt and mix until a soft dough forms. If it’s too sticky, add 1-2 tablespoons more flour.
  2. Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead for 1-2 minutes until smooth.
  3. Split the dough into 6 equal pieces and roll each into a ball.
  4. On a floured surface, roll each ball into a thin circle (about ⅛-inch thick).
  5. Heat a skillet or griddle over medium-high heat. Cook each flatbread for 1-2 minutes per side until puffed and golden brown.
  6. Keep the cooked flatbreads wrapped in a clean towel to stay soft.
3 Ingredient Irish Soda Bread
  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Lightly flour a baking sheet or line it with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Make a well in the center and pour in the buttermilk. Stir with a wooden spoon until a sticky dough forms.
  4. Turn the dough onto a floured surface and gently shape it into a round loaf (about 6 inches wide).
  5. Use a sharp knife to cut a deep 'X' into the top of the loaf.
  6. Bake for 30–35 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the bread sounds hollow when tapped.
  7. Let the bread cool on a wire rack for at least 20 minutes before slicing.
