Preparation
- In a bowl, mash the chickpeas with a fork until mostly smooth.
- Add breadcrumbs, parsley, red onion, garlic, lemon zest, lemon juice, cumin, salt, and pepper. Mix well until combined.
- Form mixture into patties.
Cooking
- Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
- Fry the patties for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
Yogurt Sauce
- In a small bowl, mix yogurt, lemon juice, and dill or mint.
Notes
Store leftover patties in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. You can serve these patties on a salad or in pita bread with veggies.
