Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin with paper liners.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, mix the sour cream, melted butter, milk, egg, and lemon zest until combined.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir gently until just combined.
- Fold in the blueberries.
- Divide the batter evenly among the muffin cups.
Baking
- Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow the muffins to cool in the tin for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
These muffins are best enjoyed warm with a pat of butter. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to three days. For longer storage, refrigerate or freeze them.
