  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup lukewarm water
  • as needed vegetable oil for frying Use enough oil to cover the dough when frying.

Preparation
  1. In a large bowl, mix together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  2. Gradually add lukewarm water and knead until the dough is soft and pliable.
  3. Let the dough rest for about 10 minutes.
  4. Divide the dough into balls and then roll each ball out into a flat circle.
Cooking
  1. Heat vegetable oil in a deep skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Fry each piece of dough until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes on each side.
  3. Remove and drain on paper towels before serving.

Notes

Make sure the oil is hot enough before frying for a perfect golden color. Use a rolling pin to ensure even thickness when rolling out the dough. Try different toppings to find your favorite flavor combinations.
