Ingredients
  

For the rice
  • 1 cup 1 cup rice
  • 2 cups 2 cups water or broth
For the meatballs
  • 1 pound 1 pound ground meat (beef, turkey, or chicken)
  • 1/2 cup 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 unit 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
For the glaze
  • 1/2 cup 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon 1 teaspoon sesame oil
For garnish
  • Green onions for garnish (optional)

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a saucepan, combine rice and water or broth, bring to a boil, cover, and reduce heat to low. Cook until rice is fluffy.
  3. In a bowl, mix ground meat, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Form into meatballs.
  4. In a skillet, cook meatballs over medium heat until browned on all sides.
  5. In a separate bowl, mix honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, and sesame oil.
Baking
  1. Combine cooked rice, meatballs, and honey glaze in a baking dish.
  2. Bake for 20-25 minutes until heated through and bubbly.
  3. Garnish with green onions before serving.

Notes

Let the bake cool to room temperature. Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven at 350°F (175°C) until hot.
