Ingredients
  

Dough Ingredients
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 packet active dry yeast (2 1/4 tsp)
  • 3/4 cup warm water
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
Toppings
  • 1 cup pizza sauce
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • to taste toppings of choice (pepperoni, bell peppers, mushrooms, etc.)

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a bowl, mix warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes until frothy.
  2. In a separate bowl, combine flour and salt.
  3. Add the yeast mixture and olive oil to the flour and knead until the dough is smooth.
  4. Cover the dough and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour until doubled in size.
Baking
  1. Preheat oven to 475°F (245°C).
  2. Roll out the dough on a floured surface to desired thickness.
  3. Transfer the dough to a baking sheet or pizza stone.
  4. Spread pizza sauce evenly over the base, sprinkle with mozzarella cheese, and add your favorite toppings.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly.
  6. Remove from the oven, slice, and serve hot.

Notes

Enjoy your pizza with a side salad or some dipping sauces. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge and reheat in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 10 minutes to keep the crust crispy.
