Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients
  • 1 cup dates, pitted Use soft dates for best blending.
  • 1/2 cup natural peanut butter Can substitute with almond butter for nut-free version.
  • 1 cup crunchy pretzels, crushed
  • 1 cup dark chocolate chips Can substitute with white chocolate chips for a different flavor.
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil Used to melt with chocolate.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a food processor, blend the pitted dates and peanut butter until smooth.
  2. Stir in the crushed pretzels until well mixed.
  3. Press the mixture into a lined baking pan, flattening it evenly.
Melting Chocolate
  1. Melt the dark chocolate chips with coconut oil in a microwave or double boiler.
  2. Pour the melted chocolate over the date mixture and spread evenly.
Setting
  1. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour until set.
  2. Cut into bars and serve.

Notes

Store bars in an airtight container in the fridge. They will stay fresh for up to a week. You can freeze them for longer storage, just thaw before serving. Sprinkle sea salt on top for a sweet and salty combo.
