Ingredients
  

Dough Ingredients
  • 1 cup gluten-free flour
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • Oil for frying Vegetable oil or canola oil works best.
  • Granulated sugar for coating

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a saucepan, combine water, butter, and sugar; bring to a boil.
  2. Stir in the gluten-free flour until the mixture forms a ball.
  3. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  4. Beat in eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  5. Add vanilla extract and mix until smooth.
Cooking
  1. Heat oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Pipe the dough into the hot oil in long strips, frying until golden brown on both sides.
  3. Remove churros and drain on paper towels.
  4. Roll in a mixture of cinnamon and sugar.
Serving
  1. Serve warm with chocolate, jelly, or cream for dipping.

Notes

Ensure your oil is hot enough for crispiness. Use a piping bag for easier shaping. Try adding citrus zest for extra flavor.
