  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 0.5 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 0.5 cup milk
  • 0.25 cup chopped parsley Use fresh parsley for the best taste.
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • 0.25 cup ketchup (for topping) You can top with BBQ sauce instead for a twist.

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, parmesan cheese, minced garlic, milk, parsley, egg, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  3. Form the mixture into a loaf shape and place it in a greased baking dish.
  4. Spread ketchup over the top of the meatloaf.
  5. Bake for 1 hour or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).
  6. Let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

Leftovers can be stored wrapped in plastic wrap or aluminum foil in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. To reheat, bake in the oven at 350°F (175°C) until warm. For added flavor, consider adding chopped onions or bell peppers to the mixture. Avoid overmixing to keep the meatloaf tender. You can also experiment with ground turkey or chicken for a lighter version.
