Ingredients

For the crust
  • 1 ½ cups Oreo crumbs (about 24 cookies)
  • 6 Tablespoons butter (melted)
For the filling
  • 1 ¼ cups heavy cream
  • 2 cups good-quality bittersweet chocolate (chopped into similar size pieces) Use high-quality chocolate for the best flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
For topping
  • 2 pints fresh raspberries Feel free to use frozen raspberries if fresh ones are not available.
  • Confectioners’ sugar for dusting

Method

Crust
  1. Mix the Oreo crumbs and melted butter in a bowl. Press this mixture into the bottom and up the sides of a tart pan.
  2. Bake it in a preheated oven for about 10 minutes. Let it cool.
Filling
  1. In a saucepan, heat the heavy cream until it’s just about to boil.
  2. Remove it from heat and add the chopped chocolate. Stir until smooth.
  3. Add vanilla extract and mix well. Pour this filling into the cooled tart crust.
  4. Chill it in the fridge for a few hours until set.
Top
  1. Once set, arrange the fresh raspberries on top.
  2. Dust with confectioners’ sugar before serving.

Notes

Keep leftover tart covered in the fridge. It will stay fresh for up to three days. For best results, do not freeze, as the texture may change. Let the tart chill long enough to set properly for the best texture.
