Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients
  • 3-4 pounds pork shoulder Choose a good quality for the best flavor.
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce You can use a different type of BBQ sauce, like honey or spicy.
  • 1 unit onion, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
Spices
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional) Skip for less spice.
For Serving
  • unit Buns Serve pulled pork on soft buns.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Place the sliced onion and garlic in the bottom of the Crock Pot.
  2. Rub the pork shoulder with paprika, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper.
  3. Place the pork in the Crock Pot on top of the onions and garlic.
  4. Pour the BBQ sauce over the pork.
Cooking
  1. Cover and cook on low for 480 minutes or on high for 300 minutes until the pork is tender and easily shredded.
  2. Remove the pork from the pot, shred it with two forks, and mix with the sauce.

Notes

This pulled pork stores well in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4 days. To reheat, heat in the microwave or on the stovetop until warm.
