Preparation
- In a large bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add warm water while stirring until a soft dough forms.
- Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead for 2–3 minutes until smooth. Avoid overworking it.
- Cover with a damp towel and let it rest for 10 minutes.
- Divide the dough into 4–6 equal balls. Flatten each into ½-inch-thick discs.
Cooking
- Heat 1–2 inches of oil in a deep skillet to 350°F (175°C).
- Fry each disc for 2–3 minutes per side until golden brown.
- Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate to remove excess oil. Serve warm with toppings.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days. Reheat in a skillet or oven to restore crispiness.
