- Incorporate the Cheese: Reduce the heat to low and gradually sprinkle in the Parmesan cheese, whisking continuously until the sauce is smooth and creamy. If the sauce is too thick, add a splash of warm milk or pasta water.
- Season: Taste and adjust with salt and black pepper if needed. Remember, Parmesan is salty, so go easy on extra salt!
- Serve Immediately: This 3-ingredient alfredo sauce is best served fresh over hot pasta, but it can also be used in casseroles or as a dip.
Notes
For an even quicker version, use a handheld immersion blender for an extra-silky texture. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
