Ingredients
  

Filling Ingredients
  • 2 packages 8 oz cream cheese, softened Ensure cream cheese is fully softened to avoid lumps.
  • 1 cup sugar (1/2 cup for filling, 1/2 cup for topping) Divided into two portions.
  • 1 large egg For binding the filling.
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract Adds flavor to the filling.
Dough and Topping Ingredients
  • 2 cans Pillsbury crescent dinner rolls Used for the base and topping.
  • 4 Tbsp ground cinnamon For the cinnamon sugar topping.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a small bowl, mix together 1/2 cup sugar and 4 Tbsp cinnamon; set aside.
  3. Beat cream cheese with an electric mixer until smooth.
  4. Add 1/2 cup sugar, egg, and vanilla; mix until creamy.
  5. Spray a 9×13-inch baking pan with non-stick spray and sprinkle half of the cinnamon sugar mixture at the bottom.
Assembly
  1. Unroll one can of crescent dough onto waxed paper, press seams together, and lay it over the cinnamon sugar in the pan.
  2. Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the dough.
  3. Unroll the second can of dough similarly and place it on top of the filling.
  4. Sprinkle remaining cinnamon sugar on top.
Baking
  1. Bake for about 30 minutes or until golden brown.

Notes

These bars can be served warm or at room temperature. Consider topping them with whipped cream or ice cream for a special treat. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week.
