  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8x8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. Melt the chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. Gently fold in the flour until just combined—don’t overmix!
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
  6. Bake for 18–20 minutes or until the edges are set but the center is still slightly gooey.
Classic Fudgy Brownies
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease an 8x8-inch baking pan.
  2. Melt the butter in a saucepan over low heat, then remove from heat and stir in the sugar.
  3. Add the eggs and vanilla, mixing until smooth.
  4. Sift in the cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder, folding gently until combined.
  5. Stir in the chocolate chips (if using) and pour the batter into the pan.
