  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • as needed Chopped green onions for garnish

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a bowl, whisk together the brown sugar, soy sauce, olive oil, garlic, and ginger until well combined.
  3. Season the salmon fillets with salt and pepper, and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  4. Brush the glaze over the salmon fillets, making sure they are evenly coated.
Cooking
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork and the glaze is caramelized.
  2. Garnish with chopped green onions before serving.

Notes

Try marinating the salmon for an hour to enhance the flavor. Add a pinch of red pepper flakes for a spicy kick, or substitute honey for brown sugar for a different sweetness.
