  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ¾ cup honey BBQ sauce Adjust the amount based on how sweet you like your pasta.
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded You can use pepper jack for a different flavor.
  • ½ cup diced onions
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
  2. Sauté diced onions until translucent (about 3-4 minutes).
  3. Add sliced smoked sausage and cook until browned (5-6 minutes).
  4. Season with garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
Cooking
  1. Pour in chicken broth and bring to a boil.
  2. Add pasta; cook according to package instructions until al dente (8-10 minutes).
  3. Reduce heat to low, stir in heavy cream and honey BBQ sauce until well combined.
  4. Gradually add cheddar cheese, stirring until melted and creamy.
  5. Adjust seasonings if needed and garnish with chopped parsley before serving.

Notes

This pasta can be served in bowls and garnished with fresh parsley. For storage, keep leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. When reheating, add a splash of milk or broth to loosen the pasta if it becomes too thick. You can also add vegetables like bell peppers or spinach for extra nutrition.
