Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 350ºF (175ºC). Lightly grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
- Pour the cherry pie filling into the baking pan.
- Combine chocolate cake mix and melted butter; spoon this mixture over the cherries.
- Microwave the hot fudge sauce in intervals until warm, then pour over the chocolate cake mix.
Baking
- Bake for 40-50 minutes at 350ºF (175ºC) until set.
Notes
Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, and drizzle with extra hot fudge or whipped cream for added sweetness. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in the microwave before serving.
