  • 1 box chocolate cake mix Can substitute with different cake mixes like vanilla or red velvet.
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup hot fudge sauce Microwave in intervals before pouring.

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350ºF (175ºC). Lightly grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  2. Pour the cherry pie filling into the baking pan.
  3. Combine chocolate cake mix and melted butter; spoon this mixture over the cherries.
  4. Microwave the hot fudge sauce in intervals until warm, then pour over the chocolate cake mix.
Baking
  1. Bake for 40-50 minutes at 350ºF (175ºC) until set.

Notes

Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, and drizzle with extra hot fudge or whipped cream for added sweetness. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in the microwave before serving.
