Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine sliced apples, sugar, and cinnamon. Mix well and spread the apple mixture evenly in a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Sprinkle the dry cake mix evenly over the apples.
- Pour the melted butter over the cake mix, making sure to cover it as evenly as possible.
- If using, sprinkle nuts on top.
Baking
- Bake for 40-45 minutes or until the cake is golden and bubbly.
Serving
- Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
Notes
For added crunch, consider adding oats to your cake mix topping. You can also try adding various fruits for a twist.
