Chocolate Fudge Preparation
- Line an 8x8-inch baking dish with parchment paper, leaving some overhang for easy removal.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the chocolate chips and sweetened condensed milk. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring between each, until fully melted and smooth.
- Stir in the vanilla extract and salt (if using) until well combined.
- Pour the mixture into the prepared pan and spread it evenly with a spatula.
- Refrigerate for at least 2 hours or until firm.
- Lift the fudge out of the pan using the parchment paper, place it on a cutting board, and slice into squares.
Peanut Butter Fudge Preparation
- Prepare an 8x8-inch baking dish with parchment paper.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, mix peanut butter and sweetened condensed milk. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring between each, until smooth.
- Stir in the vanilla extract and salt (if using).
- Pour the mixture into the prepared pan and smooth the top with a spatula.
- Refrigerate for at least 2 hours or until firm.
- Remove from the pan, cut into squares, and serve.
Notes
Serve at room temperature for the best texture. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks. For gifts, pack squares in a pretty box with wax paper.
