  • 1 box (15.25 oz) yellow cake mix
  • 1 can (20 oz) cherry pie filling (or any fruit filling of choice) Can substitute with other fruit fillings like blueberry or peach.
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted Essential for a crispy top.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Dump the cherry pie filling into the dish and spread it evenly.
  3. Sprinkle the dry cake mix evenly over the pie filling—do not stir!
  4. Pour the melted butter evenly over the cake mix, covering as much as possible.
Baking
  1. Bake for 35–40 minutes or until the top is golden brown and bubbly.
  2. Let it cool for 10 minutes before serving.

Notes

Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or whipped cream. Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days or refrigerate for up to 5 days.
